The exhibition showcased the works of 19 contemporary artists, all of whom shared a history of migration. Rites of Passage explored the concept of ‘liminal space’ and was organized around its three stages: separation, transition, and return. The artists were also grouped according to themes of tradition, spirituality, and place, highlighting the diverse ways these concepts intersected with their experiences of migration.
